Accessibility

Making information more open and accessible for everybody is one of the aims of Time Travel Guides. The TTGs website was built using the Material Design Google theme for WordPress, which was developed with accessibility in mind.

You should be able to use the website on your computer, phone, or tablet. You can navigate and interact with the site in different ways. You can use your keyboard if you are accessing the website with a computer. The website is also designed to work with assistive technology, such as screen readers. The text sizes, fonts, and colours have been selected for readability and you should also be able to zoom in using your keyboard, touchpad, or touchscreen controls if you need a closer look.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for website designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. The TTGs website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard, but this is something that I will be working to improve in the future.
